Although we change the
topic, we still encounter some problems at first. Confusion of which sphere of
research should we discuss ‘cause this topic could lead to various areas and
aspects. Through lots of discussion and changing mind, we finally decided to
direct to the economy aspect. Finding out interrelated data and materials in
economic aspect about showgirl is kind of difficult at some degrees. Most of
the resources are about showgirls themselves and critiques of morality as well
as female objectification. We even ran into the bottleneck again that we were
not able to do deeper. After the discussion with professor, we then find out
the relationship among showgirls, female objectification, female commodification
and commercial benefit. There are various researches and essays about these subjects
yet we have to digest the information we need from a mass of essays.
Robert and Knot, this
team impresses me and attracts me at the beginning. Because at first I did not
have any interest in their topic, subject about economy or policy always decrease
my interest. They are usually boring and difficult. However, when I took a
glance at their annotation, it stirs my interest successfully. Their descriptions
and skills of narration allow this originally boring and difficult issue to be
easy to understand as well as interesting. And I think their directions of
points are rather special rather than those cliché of economic issues. Doing research
on same realm as them, I think we still have space to learn from them.
